About the CNS

Written on February 14, 2009

Since 2007, the Counter Narrative Society (CNS) has functioned as an artistic research unit which works at the intersection of civic engagement, extra-disciplinary art practice, parody and social sciences to initiate counter narratives about bio-power, urbanism, culture and technology.

Today the Society is based at the MIT’s Graduate Program in Art, Culture and Technology (ACT) and led by the artist/founder, activist and 2nd year graduate student Mabel Negrete who is pursuing a Master of Science in Visual Studies.
