02.20.2009 – The Sensible Housing Unit project will be inaugurated at the group show “Future Landscapes Designed by Women” by Solo Mujeres.
01.29.2009 – During this week sound composer Axel Herrera and Fiona Glas joins the society to contribute to the Sensible Housing Unit installation.
01.15.2009 – The society proposes to develop its 1st relational art project that utilizes the Sensible Housing Unit to the MCCLA’s Solo Mujeres art show. The project will be an installation merging sound, photography, objects and audience participation to address the abstract and literal effects of solitary confinement in prisons.
01.06.2009 – Mabel summits to Galeria de la Raza’s “Strange Hope” exhibition an 8.5×8.5 costume made paper envelope that is printed with 2 photographs and holds Plain Human’s button to Wear Orange for a Day.
09.2008 – Mabel develops with Denis Maxwell the performance based video Restless Sleep.
08.04.2008 – As the society Alli Spector, Marguerite Daverport, Victoria Restler and Mabel presents the experimental public project Subliminal Sketches of a SHU during the MAPP (Mission Arts and Performance Project).
07.2008 – The society tries out the Sensible Housing Unit at the Golden Gate Park.
02.20.2008 – Jose Negrete joins with Mabel to develop their 1st collective installation You and Me. To preserve their anonymity, only the society’s process is used.
12.13.2007 – The society visits the graduate program at SFAI.
12.01.2007 – Hunting the Now is presented at “GROUNDS” SoEx’s 1st Public Art and Urban Interventions Festival.
11.2007 – Fiona Glas and Chris Carlson joins the society to help out the making of the public art project Hunting the Now.
09.08.2007 – The society is first realized during the Hidden Histories exhibition at Cell Space, San Francisco.
09.08.2007 – Fiona Glas and Fernando Marti joins the society to help out the making of Thinking of You.
06.2007 – The society was first originated as my collective fake identity to present the installation Thinking of You: Mission and Valencia for Hypersea’s Hidden History exhibition and public art project.
