• About:

  The Counter Narrative Society (CNS) is the studio, conceptual identity and participatory process of artist Mabel Negrete who works at the intersection of civic engagement, trans-disciplinary art practices, parody and social sciences to initiate counter narratives (counter memories) about biopower, urbanism, culture and technology.

  The society is currently at MIT ACT's graduate program researching and making counter narratives as systems for critical social engagement to earnestly tweak our senses and shine light in meaningful ways about the invisible manifestations of state punishment, inequality and social control found in this age of mass imprisonment - Unequal States of Amnesty (USA).
